Our History
The Cummins family are experts in the field of civil engineering and deep drainage and have worked in construction and civils since 1975. The company, Cummins Civil Engineering, formerly Peover Construction, was formed in 1985. And to this day, three generations of the family have been involved in the management of the business sharing a wealth of experience and expertise.
Cummins Civil Engineering is passionate about upholding their outstanding reputation and the high quality work ethic that has always driven the family.
The family also previously traded as DG Cummins & Company Limited.
About Us
Our wealth of experience, industry knowledge and company infrastructure allows us to provide complex civil engineering solutions in some of the most challenging and hazardous conditions. Though we are experienced across all aspects of civil engineering, we are recognised for our expertise in deep excavations, deep drainage and complex temporary works installations.
Because of the complexity of the works we deliver, our skilled and experienced team are our greatest asset. As a family run business, we care deeply about our people and investment in our team is the backbone of our operation. Most of our employees are long standing members of the company with in excess of 30 years service.
Our workforce are all highly qualified with a wealth of experience that is backed up by a comprehensive training programme. All our staff are directly employed with site operatives holding CSCS/ CPCS and Site Supervisors SMSTS / SSSTS as a minimum requirement. All members our emergency deep excavation teams will hold EUSR SHEA GAS tickets.
