Description

Cummins Civil Engineering recently completed an enabling works and groundworks contract for the construction of a new modular Endoscopy Unit.  Due to the previous use of the site and prevailing ground conditions we initially carried out site wide enabling works. These works included remove all contaminated material from site to a registered waste facility, a reduced level dig of over 3.0m deep to the entire footprint of the building and subsequent construction of a stone platform to provide suitable bearing for the new building. Groundworks included site wide installation of all foul and surface water drainage including surface water attenuation, all external works including road and footpath construction and construction of approximately 1300m2 of ground floor slab and ground beams.
