Description

Cummins Civil Engineering are currently completing a groundworks contract for the construction of a new modular outpatients building at Stepping Hill Hospital. Remedial works were initially carried out to remove foundations from previously demolished wards and to divert existing site services. Groundworks included installation of 350mm CFA piled foundations and associated piling mat, construction of approximately 1500m2 of ground floor slab and ground beams including lift shaft pit construction, site wide installation of all foul and surface water drainage including surface water attenuation, all external works including road and footpath construction. In addition, we completed the construction of a new generator slab and PCC service trough running across the site access road from the site of the old OPD Department to the new building.
