Description

Works included excavation and installation of approximately 250m of ductile iron pipework ranging in diameter from 600mm to 1000mm at depths up to 3.5m deep and excavation and installation of approximately 760m of HDPE welded pipework ranging in diameter from 225mm to 315mm at depths up to 3.5m deep including all pressure testing and chlorination works. We also carried out two connections to the existing Langsett and Midhope Mains under very tight restrictions and narrow shutdown window. Much of the excavation was through the underlying natural bedrock and was carried out through a fully operational water treatment works. The works were completed on time and with a minimum of disruption to ongoing operations.
